Grant and Peter started their successful participation in the “Sim Racers Asia GT Series“, competing for top spots! SRA is following the Le Mans Series schedule of iRacing, only with GTE vehicles and races start as “rolling starts”. The race was broadcasted here on Apex Racing TV.
They joined the SRA GT Series in “Round 2” which was held at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps motor-racing circuit, in night time, representing their team Impact SimRacing.
Qualifying was 20mins, Grant drove his his Porsche 911 RSR GTE (991) to 9th for the starting grid, with a lap time of 2:12:115. Peter got 8th for the grid, with a lap time of 2:12:086.
Race started well, very disciplined all around with the field driving through first turns and making it through first laps. Grant and Peter managed their tires and fuel consumption very good, unfortunately some minor mistakes which cost them time on track, slowed them down but didn’t keep them from gaining positions. We are very proud of both our drivers, not getting involved in any accidents, and having a very solid and competitive race!
After 28 laps, both drivers crossed the finish line after 60mins! Peter finished in P6 and Grant finished in P8! Thank you to both our drivers, well done and congratulations!
Here are the race results from SRA GT Series Officials:
We are looking forward to “Round 3”, where our team Impact SimRacing is heading to “Suzuka Circuit“, which is a motorsport race track located in Ino, Suzuka City, Mie Prefecture, Japan.
